Hyderabad Welcomes ZF LIFETEC’s New Innovation Hub

ZF LIFETEC, a prominent provider of safety technologies for vehicular protection, has officially inaugurated its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad. This strategic move marks a significant milestone as the company carves out its operations from the larger ZF Group. The full transition is projected to be completed by the end of September 2024.

The establishment of the GCC in Hyderabad underscores ZF LIFETEC’s commitment to bolstering its global development capabilities. According to the Executive Vice-President of ZF LIFETEC, this new centre is crucial for advancing innovation and enhancing safety standards. “The inauguration of this centre fortifies our global footprint and positions us strategically to address both local and international engineering needs efficiently. India’s burgeoning market presents a valuable opportunity for us to deliver competitive solutions rapidly,” the Executive Vice-President remarked. The Hyderabad centre, which employs over 200 staff members, aims to drive forward ZF LIFETEC’s mission of improving safety technologies. The President of ZF Group India highlighted that this expansion will not only enhance the company’s safety technology initiatives but also foster collaborations with key industry players. “Our new GCC will be instrumental in advancing safety standards both within India and on a global scale,” he stated.

ZF LIFETEC, with a global workforce of approximately 36,000 employees, reported a group turnover of €4.6 billion. The opening ceremony was attended by Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister, who officially inaugurated the centre. This development reflects ZF LIFETEC’s strategic focus on leveraging India’s growing technological and industrial landscape to further its innovation and safety objectives.
