Telangana is bracing for a significant meteorological event as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange and yellow warnings for heavy rainfall across numerous districts, including the capital, Hyderabad. Eighteen districts, including Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, and Kamareddy, are under an orange alert, indicating a high likelihood of heavy to very heavy rainfall. A yellow alert, signalling moderate to heavy rain, has been issued for twelve other districts: Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Mahabubnagar, and Nagarkurnool. In anticipation of the heavy rains, the Telangana administration has mobilised extensive resources.
