Hyderabad Minister Urges Expedited Land Acquisition For Major Road Projects

In Hyderabad, a high level review meeting was recently convened to accelerate forest land acquisition crucial for several major road projects in Ranga Reddy district. The district in charge minister chaired the session, pushing for the swift completion of procedures for key initiatives including a six lane corridor between Bachupally and Gandimaisamma, and a route connecting Bahadurpally to Kompally. The directive emphasizes achieving a war footing pace to enable groundbreaking ceremonies in the first week of September.

The minister specifically reviewed the progress on two significant infrastructure projects: a proposed six lane corridor designed to connect Bachupally and Gandimaisamma, and a vital route extending from Bahadurpally through Dulapally to Kompally. During the meeting, senior officials were emphatically directed to accelerate the acquisition and subsequent transfer of both forest and non forest lands. The instruction underlined that all necessary procedures must be completed with utmost urgency to ensure that the groundbreaking ceremonies for these critical projects can commence as planned in early September.

Top officials from various departments were in attendance, including the Chief Principal Conservator of Forests, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority Commissioner, and additional commissioners from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and Medchal. A total of nineteen acres of forest land have been identified and earmarked for transfer. The minister stressed that all first phase formalities pertaining to this land handover must be concluded within the stipulated deadline, demonstrating a firm resolve to avoid any delays.

Furthermore, a compassionate approach was urged for the acquisition of private land and the disbursement of compensation to affected landowners. Authorities were directed to ensure that the requisite funds for compensation are readily available to facilitate a smooth and fair process. Forest department officials updated the minister that Stage one clearance for forest land diversion on the Bahadurpally Kompally road has already been secured. The corresponding process for the Bachupally Gandimaisamma route is reported to be nearing completion, signaling significant progress on these fronts.

This concentrated effort highlights the administration’s commitment to robust infrastructure development. The expedited completion of these vital road networks is expected to significantly enhance regional connectivity and improve access for residents across eight legislative constituencies. This push aims to alleviate traffic congestion and foster economic activity, ultimately benefiting thousands of citizens with improved mobility and accessibility.
