Hyderabad Gets New EV Charger Factory by EVRE

EVRE, a leading electric vehicle infrastructure firm, has inaugurated a cutting-edge EV charger manufacturing plant at the Patancheru Industrial Development Area in Hyderabad, signalling a major stride in India’s transition to electric mobility.

The facility, with an initial monthly capacity of 5,000 chargers, will be scaled to 10,000 by 2026, strengthening India’s EV infrastructure push. The Hyderabad plant is projected to manufacture 20,000 chargers in the coming months to meet current orders. These will include a range from 3.3 kW AC to high-capacity 360 kW DC chargers, tailored for residential, commercial, and industrial use. EVRE aims to bridge infrastructure gaps, especially in large housing complexes lacking reliable charging solutions. Krishna K Jasti, Founder and CEO of EVRE, stated that the plant reflects the company’s commitment to creating a premium EV charging ecosystem while supporting national initiatives like ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. “India is among the fastest EV-adopting nations globally. Our goal is to ensure accessibility and quality in EV charging. With up to 70% localisation, we’re not just assembling chargers—we’re building a self-reliant manufacturing ecosystem,” he said.

The facility introduces advanced automation systems, including custom-designed testing benches for PCBs, components, and fully assembled chargers. Each unit undergoes stringent quality checks, with detailed reports ensuring minimal errors and reduced testing timelines—an effort to enhance reliability in India’s growing EV network. The unit is expected to create over 50 direct jobs locally, offering a boost to Hyderabad’s green economy and supporting the city’s emergence as a clean tech hub. The company is also expected to contribute indirectly through its vendor ecosystem and ongoing R&D collaborations. EVRE’s expansion strategy includes penetrating underserved markets and enabling distributed EV infrastructure across Indian cities. The firm envisions a user-centric model where every housing community, workplace, and public space is equipped with seamless EV charging access—eliminating dependence on inconsistent public charging stations.

As India prepares for an electric mobility revolution, EVRE’s new plant represents more than production capacity—it’s a step toward cleaner cities, sustainable lifestyles, and climate-conscious economic growth.
