Gurugram Sankey Prasad Acquires Full Ownership Of Colliers Project Leaders Middle East

Gurugram-based real estate entrepreneur and advisor Sankey Prasad has acquired complete ownership of the Colliers Project Leaders (CPL) business in the Middle East, marking a strategic shift toward fully independent operations in the region. With this move, Prasad assumes the role of chairman of the newly autonomous entity, which is reportedly in advanced discussions with a leading global private equity firm for a strategic partnership, signalling strong investor confidence.

Previously, Prasad held a 30% stake in CPL Middle East, part of the Colliers International network, where the business had been recognised for delivering project management and development advisory services across mixed-use, commercial, industrial, and large-scale infrastructure projects. By acquiring the remaining 70% equity, Prasad now commands full decision-making authority, allowing the firm to respond more nimbly to evolving market dynamics. Industry experts suggest the acquisition positions CPL to leverage the Middle East’s expanding urbanisation and infrastructure demands. “Independent leadership allows for sharper, market-responsive strategies,” said a senior real estate consultant. “Prasad’s regional expertise and proven track record with Colliers in India provide a strong foundation for sustained growth across multiple sectors.” The transition to private ownership is expected to ensure continuity for clients and teams while streamlining governance and operational flexibility. Under Prasad, CPL Middle East will continue to serve institutional clients, governments, and private developers with integrated project advisory services, while adopting innovative approaches to sustainable and future-ready developments. Analysts note that the region’s rapid urban growth, combined with increased demand for mixed-use and infrastructure projects, offers an opportune moment for CPL to expand its footprint.

Prasad’s previous tenure with Colliers India and CPL India saw him steer large-scale commercial and residential projects, shaping market practices and operational standards. The Middle East venture represents a continuation of this philosophy, now tailored to regional urban development priorities, including smart infrastructure, sustainable planning, and inclusive design practices that align with broader urban resilience objectives. As the Middle East continues to attract global investment in real estate and infrastructure, CPL’s repositioning under independent ownership is expected to bolster competitiveness, enhance client engagement, and deliver high-impact, sustainable urban projects. “Our vision is to create integrated developments that respect environmental constraints while fostering economic growth,” an official from the newly independent CPL noted.

With the acquisition complete, Prasad and CPL are well-positioned to capitalise on sector opportunities, strengthen strategic partnerships, and contribute to the region’s transformation through expert project leadership and sustainable urban solutions.
