Gurgaon has become the launchpad for Sternhagen, a luxury bathroom brand that blends German engineering with Indian design sensibilities. Founded by Chirag Parekh, the label opens its first experience centre in Delhi NCR, offering curated bathroom suites, precision-crafted sanitaryware, and tech-enabled WCs. With collections co-created alongside designers like Sussanne Khan and Farah Khan, the brand targets affluent urban buyers seeking functional, high-end, and design-led bathroom experiences that redefine India’s luxury residential market.

Parekh, who previously launched kitchen sinks company Carysil in collaboration with German partners, says Sternhagen is a natural progression of his design philosophy. “Luxury is relationship selling and great design that never compromises on quality,” he explained. The Gurgaon showroom is designed as an experiential gallery rather than a traditional retail space, allowing visitors to interact with fully realised bathroom environments. Industry experts note that immersive presentations like this are increasingly shaping premium real estate expectations.The choice of Gurgaon is both strategic and personal. The region already hosts a considerable client base, and Parekh’s daughter, who will oversee regional operations, recently relocated to Delhi. Analysts suggest that pairing family leadership with market familiarity provides both operational efficiency and deeper brand resonance in India’s high-end segment.

Sternhagen’s design is strongly influenced by Parekh’s lifestyle interests, particularly his passion for equestrian culture. The showroom features trough-inspired sinks, curved shower enclosures, and other horse-inspired motifs. A senior design consultant observed, “Integrating personal lifestyle cues into functional spaces elevates both the aesthetic and emotional value for discerning buyers.” The brand is also exploring future collaborations with international luxury houses that share similar equestrian aesthetics.Material quality and technological sophistication are central to Sternhagen’s offerings. Precision cuts, 3D faceting, and coordinated bathroom suites ensure continuity across faucets, shower panels, and WCs. High-tech sanitaryware includes sensor-operated lids, multiple wash modes, and advanced cleansing systems that rival leading Japanese designs, catering to tech-savvy, design-conscious urban homeowners.

Looking ahead, Sternhagen plans to introduce a brighter, bolder range targeting Gen Z buyers. These designs aim to combine functionality with playful, experiential luxury, moving beyond conventional beige aesthetics.
