Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel unveiled development projects worth Rs 644.72 crore during the state-level celebration of Gujarat Gaurav Divas in Panchmahals.
Held in the district’s Godhra town, the event witnessed the virtual inauguration and laying of foundation stones for 85 critical projects that promise to enhance various sectors, including healthcare, connectivity, and security. One of the highlights of the CM’s announcement was the establishment of a 100-bed sub-district hospital in Morva Hadaf, a significant move under the state’s Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana. This project aims to bolster healthcare access in underserved regions, contributing to the government’s commitment to equitable healthcare services for all citizens. The hospital is expected to reduce the need for long-distance travel to larger urban centres for basic medical needs, improving health outcomes in the region.
The Chief Minister also outlined plans for significant upgrades to the state’s infrastructure. Notably, a budgetary provision has been made to transform 12 major roads into high-speed corridors under the Garvi Gujarat initiative. These upgrades are set to improve connectivity, not only easing commuter movement but also enabling smoother transportation for goods, which is expected to reduce logistical costs and improve economic activity in both urban and rural areas. On the occasion, Patel also inaugurated the newly constructed office of the Inspector General of Police in Godhra, a project valued at Rs 5 crore and built by the Gujarat State Police Housing Corporation. This new office will enhance the administrative capabilities of the state police force, contributing to better law enforcement and security. The CM also took time to explore the Police Expo-2025, where modern arms and security technology were showcased, highlighting the state’s focus on strengthening law enforcement infrastructure.
Gujarat’s emphasis on infrastructural development is not just about facilitating physical growth but also aligns with the vision of a more sustainable and eco-friendly future. As the state moves forward with the construction of high-speed corridors and modern healthcare facilities, the environmental impact of these developments is being considered.
