Greater Noida to Host ₹1,200 Crore Multimodal Logistics Park

Greater Noida is set to witness a major leap in industrial infrastructure with the proposed development of a ₹1,200 crore multimodal logistics park. Located strategically near the upcoming Noida International Airport, the 174-acre facility will boost warehousing, cargo handling, and skill development opportunities. Officials say the project is part of Uttar Pradesh’s 2024 logistics policy and promises to generate at least 5,000 jobs while enhancing freight efficiency and investor confidence. With proximity to both eastern and western dedicated freight corridors, this project is expected to anchor Greater Noida as a logistics hub in northern India.

Officials have confirmed that several Gujarat-based firms are competing to secure the lease for the land, offered under a 90-year agreement by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA). The bidding entities plan to build state-of-the-art warehousing centres, cargo terminals, and value-added logistics infrastructure. The initiative is in line with the state’s goal of transforming Uttar Pradesh into an investment-friendly destination. According to industry experts, this park could redefine how freight moves across India’s northern belt by promoting multimodal connectivity and operational efficiency. The logistics park aligns with the approved Greater Noida Master Plan 2041 and offers a blueprint for equitable industrial growth. Its location near the CONCOR-managed dry port adds another layer of logistical advantage, enabling seamless container movement and export-import handling.

Officials highlight that the project will not only support cargo operations but also include a skill development centre, thereby contributing to regional employment and upskilling. The model also reflects India’s ambition to decentralise freight operations from congested metros into well-connected suburban zones. Incentives under the multimodal logistics park policy 2024 have sparked heightened interest among developers. These include subsidised infrastructure support and tax relief for long-term logistics operations. Stakeholders believe this is a timely intervention as warehousing demand continues to rise across India due to the ecommerce boom and growing FMCG supply chains. With warehousing supply expanding in peripheral metro zones, Greater Noida’s logistical ecosystem is poised to benefit from early mover advantage in North India’s freight and storage market.

As the application review process moves ahead, officials stress that allotment will follow strict scrutiny by a screening committee before finalisation. The goal is to attract long-term, sustainable investment that aligns with state and national freight policy objectives. With the Noida International Airport nearing completion, the logistics park is expected to support zero-carbon, multimodal transport solutions. Experts view it as a model for sustainable urban-industrial planning, fostering regional resilience and better supply chain integration across India.
