Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Receives 334 Grievances in Prajavani Initiative

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) witnessed a surge in public participation during its Prajavani program on Monday, receiving a substantial 334 grievance applications. Officials at the GHMC head office near Tank Bund, along with 77 zonal offices, actively engaged with citizens, addressing concerns ranging from various zones, highlighting the efficacy of the Prajavani initiative.

Emphasising the importance of prompt grievance resolution, officials instructed their teams to furnish written information outlining the anticipated timeframe for addressing each application. A stern warning was issued against resubmission of complaints due to non-compliance with designated deadlines, signalling the GHMC’s commitment to efficient grievance redressal. The Prajavani program’s success was underscored by the reception of 257 applications at the GHMC head office and an additional 77 across various zonal offices. Specific zones, including Charminar, Secunderabad, Kukatpally, Khairatabad, L B Nagar, and Serilingampally, each contributed to the pool of grievances, showcasing a comprehensive outreach.

Officials, during the event, urged a proactive approach in prioritising the Prajavani programme, aligning with the GHMC’s commitment to promptly address citizens’ concerns. Directives were issued to the respective officials to swiftly attend to the reported issues, ensuring a streamlined and effective resolution process. This robust engagement between citizens and civic authorities highlights the GHMC’s dedication to fostering transparency and responsiveness in municipal governance.
