India’s pioneering perpetual Warehousing and Industrial Parks InvIT, has significantly expanded its footprint by inaugurating a 2.35 lakh sq. ft. logistics facility at NDR Varama Sir on Verna Airport Road. This strategic addition solidifies the Trust’s leadership in high-speed logistics infrastructure within a rapidly growing coastal market. The development underscores a commitment to enhancing efficient supply chains, supporting economic growth, and fostering sustainable urban development in the region.
The newly commissioned facility is a dual-purpose hub, allocating approximately 1.06 lakh sq. ft. to a quick-commerce leader and 1.24 lakh sq. ft. to a third-party logistics (3PL) company specialising in Fast-Moving Consumer Durables (FMCD) products. This strategic allocation supports both efficient last-mile delivery and large-scale inventory operations, catering to the evolving demands of modern commerce. Such advanced logistics infrastructure is crucial for reducing delivery times, optimising transportation routes, and ultimately lowering the carbon footprint associated with goods movement, aligning with zero-net-carbon aspirations.
With approximately 11 lakh sq. ft. constructed across two major parks—NDR Goaspace Pvt. Ltd. and NDR Varama Sir—NDR InvIT now operates Goa’s largest industrial park network. These facilities are meticulously tailored for speed, flexibility, and high-capacity operations, featuring scalable floorplates, streamlined circulation, and ample loading docks. This design philosophy is aimed at compressing time-to-market for clients, enhancing their operational efficiency, and supporting rapid scaling within India’s high-growth logistics landscape.
Project Director Jagdish Bhanushali highlighted that the new development reflects NDR’s commitment to delivering infrastructure that aligns with the evolving demands of manufacturing, trade, and nationwide distribution. By providing a reliable backbone for diverse industries such as light manufacturing, quick commerce, 3PL, and consumer durables, NDR InvIT is enabling its clients to expand their operations efficiently. This robust logistical support is essential for attracting further investment and stimulating economic activity in Goa, contributing to a more diversified and resilient regional economy.
The expansion of modern warehousing and logistics infrastructure plays a vital role in fostering sustainable urban and regional development. By centralising storage and distribution, these facilities can optimise delivery routes, reduce the number of vehicles on roads, and minimise fuel consumption, leading to lower greenhouse gas emissions. Furthermore, efficient logistics networks support equitable access to goods and services, benefiting consumers and businesses alike. The development also creates employment opportunities, contributing to local livelihoods and promoting inclusive growth within the coastal state.
