EMS Limited, a prominent provider of water and wastewater management solutions, has secured a significant contract worth ₹19.46 crore from Deltabulk Shipping India Private Limited for electrical works at Nagpur’s Multimodal Logistics Park (MMLP). This strategic project, part of the ambitious PM Gati Shakti – National Master Plan, underscores a pivotal step towards enhancing integrated infrastructure, promising to streamline logistics and accelerate sustainable urban development in the region.
The contract, awarded under the Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) public-private partnership model, is slated for completion within seven months. This win significantly strengthens EMS Limited’s position within India’s burgeoning infrastructure and logistics sectors. The MMLP in Sindi, Nagpur, is a crucial component of the national strategy to create seamless connectivity and reduce logistical costs, which directly contributes to a more efficient and less carbon-intensive supply chain across the country.
EMS Limited, headquartered in Ghaziabad and established in 1998, is renowned for its comprehensive turnkey solutions in water and wastewater infrastructure, encompassing the design, construction, and maintenance of sewage treatment plants and water treatment facilities. Its robust order book, standing at ₹2,236.43 crore as of March 31, 2025, comprises 27 active EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects, with 75 per cent dedicated to water and wastewater management. This diversification highlights the company’s critical role in building essential infrastructure for sustainable and eco-friendly cities.
The integration of advanced electrical works at the Nagpur MMLP is vital for optimising the park’s operations, ensuring efficient movement of goods, and potentially reducing energy consumption through smart systems. Improved logistics infrastructure, as envisioned by the PM Gati Shakti initiative, is paramount for decongesting urban areas, reducing vehicular emissions, and fostering a more organised and environmentally conscious approach to freight movement. This contributes directly to cleaner air and a reduced carbon footprint in and around urban centres.
Financially, EMS Limited has demonstrated consistent growth, with revenue increasing by 8.57 per cent year-on-year to ₹266 crore in Q4 FY2025. Over the last five years, its revenue and net profit have grown at a CAGR of 24.27 per cent and 20.64 per cent, respectively. This strong financial performance positions the company well to undertake large-scale projects that are fundamental to India’s urban and rural development. By investing in critical infrastructure such as logistics parks and water management systems, projects like these contribute to creating more equitable and gender-neutral cities, ensuring access to essential services and economic opportunities for all citizens.
