Dharavi Redevelopment Project (DRP) is set to hold a two-week documentation and verification camp across the locality from November 1 to 15. The initiative aims to finalise pending household surveys, verify eligibility, and ensure that every resident is accounted for under the government’s large-scale redevelopment scheme.
According to project officials, the camp is designed as a “mega outreach drive” to resolve unverified and partially completed survey cases. The effort will see the deployment of sector-wise teams, including Deputy Collectors, Tehsildars, and Surveyors, to manage documentation and eligibility verification across multiple neighbourhood clusters. “We want to make sure that no eligible household is left behind,” an official explained, adding that residents are being urged to visit designated centres to complete their survey processes. The DRP has already released several batches of the Draft Annexure-II — a list of verified households deemed eligible for redevelopment — giving priority to those who have completed their documentation. Officials noted that residents who finish the process during this camp will be included in subsequent lists, ensuring that their participation in the project is formally recorded.
As per the latest official data, over one lakh residents have already been surveyed and verified. The upcoming two-week campaign will focus primarily on households that have been left out due to missing documents, incomplete verification, or unresolved eligibility concerns. Authorities believe that closing these gaps is vital for maintaining both transparency and social equity in the redevelopment exercise.
