The Delhi Metro’s Pink Line, particularly the Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar corridor, will face significant disruptions over the next five days due to construction activities for the Majlis Park-Maujpur corridor under Phase 4 of the Metro expansion.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced changes to the train schedule, which will impact morning services and late-night operations, starting from May 9.
The construction of this crucial segment, aimed at enhancing connectivity in East Delhi, has prompted a temporary delay in metro services from 12 minutes to as much as 70 minutes, particularly during peak morning hours. The revised timings will last until May 10, 2025, as the work progresses.
As part of the construction, service disruptions are also expected on the Jaffrabad to Maujpur-Babarpur stretch, where metro services will cease after 11:03 PM until May 9. These alterations are being implemented to accommodate vital infrastructural work required to complete the new corridor.
For commuters who depend on early services, DMRC has provided updated first train timings across various stations. On regular days, the Delhi Metro service starts at 6 AM, but for the next five days, commuters will need to adjust their schedules. The first trains will begin service as follows:
