Danfoss Invests ₹1000 Crore in Pune Manufacturing Campus
Danfoss Power Solutions, a global leader in providing sustainable and energy-efficient solutions, has begun construction on a cutting-edge manufacturing campus in Talegaon, Pune, marking a significant milestone in its expansion strategy. The investment, totalling over ₹1000 crore, reflects Danfoss’ commitment to bolstering its production capabilities and innovation in India, as it looks to tap into the growing industrial landscape of the country.
The seven-acre greenfield facility will substantially expand Danfoss’ manufacturing footprint in India, more than doubling its existing capacity. With a strong focus on sustainability, the new campus will feature an Application Development Center (ADC) that will play a pivotal role in advancing research and development for machinery, alongside fostering innovation in collaboration with local customers. Pune has been strategically chosen for this expansion due to its burgeoning manufacturing ecosystem and well-established infrastructure. The new campus is set to cater to Danfoss’ local production requirements, enhancing both supply chain efficiency and customer service. By reducing lead times and increasing response rates for both domestic and international clients, the facility will reinforce Danfoss’ ability to meet the growing demands of the Indian market.
Danfoss has steadily grown its presence across India, with a robust network of manufacturing facilities spanning cities such as Chennai, Mumbai, Vadodara, Bengaluru, and Pune. The Talegaon plant will further augment this network, contributing to India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative by ramping up local production and reducing reliance on imports.
Danfoss Power Solutions has long been at the forefront of sustainable manufacturing practices, and the new facility is expected to significantly bolster the company’s commitment to innovation in green technologies.
Torben Christensen, Danfoss’ Chief Sustainability Officer, emphasized that this investment aligns with the company’s long-term sustainability goals, reinforcing its role in India’s evolving manufacturing landscape. The facility is slated for completion in the second half of 2026, and once operational, it will play a crucial role in strengthening Danfoss’ competitive edge in the Indian market, enabling the company to deliver localized, high-quality solutions that support India’s growing industrial and technological transformation.
This significant investment is not only a major step for Danfoss but also a vital contribution to Pune’s expanding industrial landscape, offering a glimpse into the future of sustainable and innovative manufacturing in India.
