CM Revanth Reddy Orders Fast Tracking of Telangana Road Projects
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to fast-track the execution of major road infrastructure projects across Telangana with a vision to serve the state’s needs for the next 50 years.
At a high-level review meeting held late Tuesday, he stressed meticulous planning for the Hyderabad Regional Ring Road (RRR), radial roads, junctions, and connectivity points. To ensure minimal disruption and future-proofing, the CM instructed the use of LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) surveys, particularly in sensitive zones such as forest areas, water bodies, mandal headquarters, and village regions. Highlighting the role of radial roads in promoting satellite townships and industrial parks, Revanth Reddy called for accelerated construction of connectors between the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and the RRR. He also proposed trumpet interchanges at national and state highway exits to Hyderabad for uninterrupted, signal-free traffic movement.
Regarding the Hyderabad–Srisailam National Highway, the Chief Minister suggested a revised alignment for the elevated corridor and directed officials to explore a new route from ORR to Mancherial as a viable alternative to the existing Rajiv Rahadari, aiming to unlock industrial growth in the region. Revanth Reddy also stressed constant coordination with the National Highways Department to ensure the seamless implementation of these long-term infrastructure projects.
The meeting was attended by Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, CM’s adviser Vem Narender Reddy, and top officials from Roads & Buildings, MA&UD, HMDA, and the Industries Department.
