The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has floated tenders for the development of roads, footpaths, and stormwater drains in the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) project. The development works will be carried out under Town Planning Schemes (TPS) 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, and will commence soon.
The NAINA project aims to prevent haphazard growth around the Navi Mumbai International Airport by creating a well-planned city spread over 371 sq km. The project will be implemented through 12 TPS for its speedy and effective implementation. CIDCO will develop the necessary infrastructure facilities under the scheme.
CIDCO’s move to float tenders for the development works is expected to give a boost to the NAINA project, which is a significant urban planning initiative in the state. With the development of roads, footpaths, and stormwater drains, the project will provide ultra-modern facilities in the area, enabling orderly growth and development.
The NAINA project is expected to attract significant investment in various sectors and generate employment opportunities, thereby contributing to the overall economic growth of the region. The development of infrastructure facilities under the project will provide a much-needed boost to the real estate sector in the area.
The NAINA project is a significant step towards creating a sustainable urban environment that promotes economic growth and enhances the quality of life of its citizens. With the commencement of development works, the project is expected to move closer to its goal of creating a well-planned, modern city around the Navi Mumbai International Airport.
