Chennai rolls out 120 electric buses, marks shift to clean transit
Chennai has taken a major step towards sustainable urban mobility by becoming the first city in Tamil Nadu to introduce a fleet of 120 low-floor, electric buses. Rolled out from the Vyasarpadi depot under the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC), these non-air-conditioned e-buses are set to significantly reduce carbon emissions while enhancing public transit reliability.
