Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that the Central government
has allocated INR 62.39 crore for the first phase to the Maharashtra Industrial
Development Corporation (MIDC) as it is setting up an electronics manufacturing
cluster in Ranjangaon in Pune.
Shinde acknowledged the commitment and hard work of the MIDC in the
electronics manufacturing cluster project and expressed his assurance that the
cluster will bring in a large number of companies and entrepreneurs, resulting in a
significant number of job opportunities in the local area.
The cluster is set to be constructed in an area of 297.11 acres. The total estimated
cost of the project is INR 492 crore, of which INR 208 crore is expected to be
contributed by the Centre.
