Central Railway Adds 14 Special Trains for Ganpati Festival

In a significant move to ease travel for devotees during the Ganpati Festival, Central Railway has announced the operation of 14 additional unreserved special trains. This initiative aims to accommodate the surge of passengers returning to Mumbai after the festival celebrations, ensuring smoother and more efficient travel.

The special trains will cater to various routes and timings, providing ample options for commuters. Here is the detailed schedule and composition for the additional services CSMT-Khed-CSMT Unreserved Special Trains (2 Trips). Halts at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Kolad, Indapur, Mangaon, Goregaon Road, Veer, Sape Wamne, Karanjadi, Vinhere, Diwankhavati, and Kalambani Budruk. Composition at 4 Sleeper Class and 16 General Second Class coaches, including 2 Guard’s brake vans (20 ICF Coaches). Train 01069: Departs CSMT Mumbai at 11:30 PM on 12th September 2024, arriving in Khed at 5:15 AM the next day. Train 01070: Departs Khed at 6:00 AM on 16th September 2024, arriving back at CSMT Mumbai at 1:30 PM on the same day.

Panvel-Khed-Panvel Unreserved Special Trains (6 Trips) which have Halts at Pen, Roha, Kolad, Indapur, Mangaon, Goregaon Road, Veer, Sape Wamne, Karanjadi, Vinhere, Diwankhavati, and Kalambani Budruk and Composition at 4 Sleeper Class and 16 General Second Class coaches, including 2 Guard’s brake vans (20 ICF Coaches). Train 01071: Departs Panvel at 11:00 AM on 13th, 14th, and 15th September 2024, arriving in Khed at 2:45 PM on the same day and Train 01072: Departs Khed at 3:15 PM on 13th, 14th, and 15th September 2024, arriving back at Panvel at 8:30 PM on the same day.

Panvel-Khed-Panvel Unreserved Special Trains (6 Trips) which Halts at Pen, Roha, Kolad, Indapur, Mangaon, Goregaon Road, Veer, Sape Wamne, Karanjadi, Vinhere, Diwankhavati, and Kalambani Budruk. Composition at 4 Sleeper Class and 16 General Second Class coaches, including 2 Guard’s brake vans (20 ICF Coaches). Train 01073: Departs Panvel at 9:10 PM on 13th, 14th, and 15th September 2024, arriving in Khed at 1:00 AM the next day and Train 01074: Departs Khed at 6:00 AM on 13th, 14th, and 15th September 2024, arriving back at Panvel at 10:00 AM on the same day. These special services are designed to manage the increased passenger flow during the Ganpati Festival, providing additional travel options for both local and returning devotees.
