Bypass Kakkanad Traffic with New Route Options

The Traffic Police have issued a set of alternative routes to facilitate smoother travel to Kakkanad, Seaport-Airport Road, and NGO Quarters. The move aims to alleviate the frequent traffic snarls that have been plaguing the area and to offer motorists viable options for bypassing the congestion.

For those travelling from the city to NGO Quarters or Bharata Matha College, the Traffic Police advise using the following route: Mamangalam-Anjumana-Pipeline Road-Thoppil Junction-Mary Matha Road-Marottichuvadu-NGO Quarters-Olimugal Junction-Seaport-Airport Road. This alternative path is designed to avoid the heavily congested Civil Line Road, ensuring a more streamlined journey.

Additionally, motorists departing from Edappally Junction are encouraged to use Marottichuvadu as a route to Seaport-Airport Road and return via the same corridors to avoid traffic disruptions. For those coming from Vyttila, Kaloor, or Kathrikadavu heading towards Seaport-Airport Road, several alternate routes have been suggested. These include the Thammanam-Puthiya Road-Vennala-Palachuvadu stretch, the Chakkaraparambu-Vennala stretch, and the Srikala Road-Lenin Centre-V Guard Junction-Palachuvadu-Eachamukku route. Each of these alternatives provides a bypass to the often congested sections of the primary roads, aiming to reduce travel time and frustration.

The Traffic Police’s proactive measures reflect an effort to improve the flow of traffic and minimise delays. By offering these alternative routes, they hope to ease the burden on the already strained infrastructure and provide residents with efficient travel options. Motorists are encouraged to plan their routes in advance and consider these alternatives to ensure a smoother and more timely journey to their destinations.
