Bollywood actor Anupam Kher has expanded his investment portfolio with the acquisition of a premium office space in Mumbai’s Andheri West. The actor has purchased a commercial office unit situated on the 24th floor of the Parinee I commercial tower. This transaction, concluded on September 3, 2024, is valued at Rs 3.88 crore.
The newly acquired office spans approximately 887 square feet of RERA carpet area, underscoring Kher’s commitment to investing in high-value real estate assets. The purchase was made directly from the developer, Parinee Realty. Notably, the actor has also paid a substantial stamp duty of Rs 23.33 lakh for the registration of the property.
This acquisition aligns with a broader trend where high-net-worth individuals, particularly from the Bollywood industry, are increasingly investing in real estate. These investments are not merely for personal use but also serve as strategic additions to their wealth portfolios. Such purchases highlight the sector’s appeal as a reliable asset class, particularly in high-demand commercial locations.
The trend of celebrities and industry professionals acquiring properties in prime locales reflects a growing recognition of real estate’s potential for substantial returns and capital appreciation. Anupam Kher’s recent investment is a testament to the continuing attractiveness of Mumbai’s real estate market, especially in well-established commercial districts like Andheri. The acquisition of high-value commercial properties by celebrities is becoming a significant trend, reinforcing the role of real estate as a crucial component of investment strategies among the affluent. This shift not only boosts the prestige of the locations but also contributes to the overall dynamism of the property market.
