BMC Opens 1,846 Executive Assistant Roles

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has initiated a significant recruitment drive, offering 1,846 Executive Assistant positions. This recruitment is a substantial opportunity for candidates who have successfully completed their Class 10 education.

The selected candidates are set to receive a competitive salary, ranging from ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 per month, making this an attractive proposition for job seekers at the entry-level. However, prospective applicants should be aware that the deadline for submissions is fast approaching, with September 9, 2024, as the cut-off date. The recruitment is segmented into various categories to ensure inclusive participation. Specifically, 506 positions are allocated for the General category, 452 for OBC candidates, 185 for EWS, 142 for SC, 150 for ST, 185 for SEBC, and 46 positions for the Special Backward Class. This structured distribution of roles across categories reflects BMC’s commitment to maintaining diversity and inclusivity in its hiring process. In terms of application fees, candidates falling under the General and Unreserved categories are required to pay ₹1,000, while those from Reserved Categories, including SC/ST/PwBD, are required to pay ₹900. The payment must be made online, and it is critical to note that applications will not be processed without the successful payment of these fees.

Eligibility criteria for these Executive Assistant positions include a minimum educational requirement of passing the 10th grade from a recognised institution. However, graduates with at least 45% marks are also eligible to apply, broadening the applicant pool. Additionally, basic computer skills are mandatory for all applicants, aligning with the increasing reliance on digital literacy in administrative roles. The age criteria for this recruitment are also clearly defined. The minimum age for applicants is set at 18 years. For those in the General category, the maximum age is capped at 38 years, while candidates from Backward Categories have a maximum age limit of 43 years. Ex-Servicemen can apply up to 45 years of age, while players and PWD candidates also have an age limit of 43 and 45 years, respectively.
