Bihar West Bengal Prime Minister Inaugurates Over Twelve Thousand Crore Projects Today

Bihar today marks a significant stride in development as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates and lays foundation stones for a wide array of projects, totaling over twelve thousand crore rupees. Accompanied by various officials, the Prime Minister is boosting infrastructure across Bihar and West Bengal. His visit includes addressing public gatherings in Motihari Bihar and Durgapur West Bengal, underscoring a commitment to accelerate regional growth and improve citizen welfare in both states through diverse initiatives.

In Motihari the Prime Minister today inaugurated and laid foundation stones for projects spanning across rail road information technology fisheries and rural development sectors. He also flagged off four new Amrit Bharat Express trains connecting key cities like Patna Motihari Darbhanga and Malda Town to major northern cities including Delhi and Lucknow. Significant railway projects in Bihar inaugurated by the Prime Minister include automatic signalling on the Samastipur Bachhwara line and the doubling of Darbhanga Thalwara and Samastipur Rambhadrapur sections valued at five hundred eighty crore rupees. The Prime Minister also laid foundation stones for additional rail infrastructure including a Vande Bharat maintenance facility at Patliputra and the doubling of the Darbhanga Narkatiaganj line totaling four thousand eighty crore rupees in investment.

For road infrastructure the Prime Minister today launched the four laning of the Ara bypass and the Parariya Mohania section of National Highway 319 with a combined investment of eight hundred twenty crore rupees. This will greatly improve access to the Delhi Kolkata Golden Quadrilateral. To advance Bihars digital economy the Prime Minister inaugurated a Software Technology Parks of India facility in Darbhanga and an incubation centre in Patna designed to boost startups and IT ITES exports. Under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana he launched new fisheries infrastructure including modern hatcheries aquaculture units and fish feed mills.

West Bengal today also witnessed major development projects. The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited City Gas Distribution projects in Bankura and Purulia districts valued at around one thousand nine hundred fifty crore rupees enhancing oil and gas infrastructure. These projects will provide PNG connections to households commercial establishments and industrial customers while also offering Compressed Natural Gas at retail outlets. Furthermore the Prime Minister dedicated to the nation the Durgapur to Kolkata section of the Durgapur Haldia Natural Gas Pipeline and the Bokaro Dhamra Pipeline known as the Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga Project which will supply natural gas to numerous households.

The Prime Ministers visit today underscores a significant push for comprehensive development across Bihar and West Bengal. These diverse projects in connectivity energy and digital sectors are poised to accelerate economic growth and improve quality of life for millions.
