Bengaluru Metro will run extended services across all operational lines on New Year’s Eve to accommodate the city’s expected surge in commuters attending year-end festivities. While trains will operate late into the night, MG Road metro station will close at 10 pm due to anticipated high footfall along MG Road, Brigade Road, and Church Street, prompting authorities to recommend Trinity and Cubbon Park stations as alternative boarding and alighting points. Commuters are encouraged to purchase return tickets in advance to avoid delays during the peak travel period.
