Andhra Pradesh is set to host one of India’s largest steel manufacturing investments, as ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AMNS India) moves forward with a massive integrated steel plant in the Anakapalli district. The project marks a significant milestone in the country’s push to expand domestic steel capacity and strengthen industrial infrastructure along the eastern coast.The greenfield facility, located near Visakhapatnam, is being developed in phases with an initial investment of around ₹70,000 crore and a first-phase capacity of approximately 8.2 million tonnes per annum.
