Amravati Mumbai Winter Flight Schedule Adds Morning Service Four Days Weekly

Amravati’s long wait for a direct morning flight to Mumbai is finally over. From October 26, 2025, the Winter Schedule will feature a dedicated early morning service, a move expected to improve regional connectivity and unlock new economic and social opportunities for the city.

The service, announced by the state-run Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC), will operate four days a week—Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Alliance Air will deploy the ATR-72 aircraft for the route. The outbound flight will take off from Mumbai at 7.05 am and land in Amravati at 8.50 am, while the return leg will depart Amravati at 9.15 am and reach Mumbai at 11 am. Officials described the flight as a response to long-standing demands from Amravati’s citizens and business community, who have repeatedly sought better access to Mumbai, India’s financial capital. The timing is seen as particularly beneficial, allowing travellers to reach Mumbai during peak morning business hours and return the same day if required. For residents, this also means easier access to medical facilities, education hubs, and tourism opportunities.

The introduction of this service is not merely about convenience but is part of a broader push for balanced regional development. Aviation experts said such routes under the winter schedule strengthen tier-2 cities, ensuring that economic growth and opportunities are not concentrated only in metros. The connectivity also supports the state’s stated goal of reducing travel inequality and expanding access to infrastructure. By offering direct morning access, the new flight enhances the potential for trade and commerce between Amravati and Mumbai. Business leaders believe it will encourage small and medium enterprises to expand operations while also benefiting professionals who need frequent travel to Mumbai for meetings and collaborations. The return timing offers flexibility, reducing the cost and environmental footprint of overnight stays, thereby contributing to more sustainable travel patterns.

The move is also aligned with the Union government’s regional air connectivity vision, which emphasises affordable flights and enhanced infrastructure in underserved cities. Analysts note that expanding air services beyond metros will play a critical role in reducing road and rail congestion, cutting travel time, and promoting a lower-carbon future if paired with efficient scheduling and modern aircraft technologies. For Amravati, this service is expected to be transformative. Residents see it as a long-awaited bridge connecting them to Mumbai’s global opportunities. Officials confirmed that the schedule will remain effective until March 28, 2026, after which further extensions and expansions could be considered based on passenger response.

As the Winter Schedule takes shape, the morning flight marks a new milestone for Amravati, one that blends convenience with regional equity and positions the city more firmly on Maharashtra’s aviation map.
