Aldar Properties, a prominent real estate developer in the UAE, and DP World have entered into a strategic agreement to collaborate on the development of a cutting-edge logistics park at the National Industries Park (NIP) in Jebel Ali, Dubai. This significant venture, spanning 1.55 million square feet (144,000 square meters), underscores a pivotal partnership aimed at meeting the escalating demand for high-quality warehousing facilities in the region.
The Grade A logistics park, situated strategically near Jebel Ali Port and Al Maktoum International Airport, boasts unparalleled connectivity via major road arteries such as the E11 and E311. Designed to cater to third-party logistics (3PL), eCommerce, and retail sectors, the project promises flexibility with three modular buildings that can accommodate single or multi-tenanted setups, catering to varying tenant requirements. NIP, encompassing 21 square kilometers, serves as Dubai’s industrial hub, offering a robust ecosystem conducive to manufacturing and processing industries. It integrates multimodal logistics solutions encompassing sea, land, and air transportation, positioning itself as a cornerstone for industrial growth and international trade facilitation.
“The collaboration between Aldar and DP World marks a significant milestone in Dubai’s logistics infrastructure,” commented a spokesperson from Aldar Properties. “This development not only enhances our portfolio but also underscores our commitment to supporting Dubai’s strategic vision for economic diversification and infrastructure excellence.” The logistics park, slated to commence construction in Q4 2024, is anticipated to commence operations by Q4 2025, welcoming its initial tenants amidst a backdrop of robust demand from sectors aiming to capitalize on Dubai’s strategic location and logistical advantages.
