Air India’s scheduled flight AI349 from Singapore to Chennai was cancelled on Sunday due to an unforeseen technical issue with the Airbus A321 aircraft, prompting urgent operational readjustments and raising fresh concerns over airline reliability. The national carrier stated that a critical maintenance task identified during pre-departure checks required immediate rectification, forcing the cancellation.

The cancellation disrupted travel plans of several passengers, many of whom were stranded at Changi Airport. However, airline officials assured that all affected flyers were being offered accommodation, complimentary rescheduling or full refunds, depending on individual preferences.
