In a visionary move towards sustainable development, Ahmedabad recently took centre stage as it hosted the Global South Academic Conclave on WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) and Climate Linkages at CEPT University from February 2nd to 4th, 2024.
This pivotal event transcended the traditional conference format, emerging as a milestone in the global journey towards climate resilience and sustainable practices. The conclave held against the backdrop of CEPT University’s commitment to urban planning and design, encapsulated a fusion of intellectual discourse and actionable insights. Guided excursions led by CHC-CRDF, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, and MHT spotlighted the tangible impact of effective WASH practices within the slum improvement program. More than a mere gathering, the conclave served as a clarion call to the world, championing the power of collaboration and the urgency of proactive climate change measures.
