Following the tragic crash of Air India flight AI171 near Ahmedabad’s Meghani Nagar area on 12 June 2025, authorities have issued emergency contact numbers for public assistance. The flight, bound for London Gatwick, was carrying 230+ passengers and 12 crew when it crashed shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport.
Ahmedabad Police has set up a dedicated helpline at 079-25620359 to handle queries and support rescue coordination. Meanwhile, Air India has launched a passenger helpline at 1800 5691 444 to assist families of those on board and provide real-time updates.The full scale of the incident is still unfolding, with multiple agencies on the ground. Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu is en route to oversee relief efforts. Airport operations remain suspended. An official investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash.
