Ahmedabad: In a robust crackdown on environmental violations, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) solid waste management teams conducted a comprehensive inspection of 47 establishments in the western region of the city on Tuesday. The operation led to the issuance of notices to 36 units for infractions related to littering and the use of prohibited plastic materials.
The enforcement drive targeted businesses and commercial units along Judges Bungalow Road in Bodakdev, with a notable action taken against Planet Health, which was sealed due to its non-compliance with waste management regulations. The inspection yielded 3 kilograms of banned plastic, reinforcing the city’s commitment to upholding environmental standards. The AMC has imposed fines totalling Rs 99,000 across the inspected units, aimed at deterring further violations and promoting adherence to waste disposal laws.
