Adani Power Achieves Record Power Generation in FY25

Adani Power has reported a remarkable performance for the fiscal year 2024–25, achieving a 21.4% increase in consolidated continuing profit before tax (PBT) to ₹13,926 crore, up from ₹11,470 crore in FY24.

This growth was primarily driven by improved earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) and reduced finance costs. The company’s consolidated continuing total revenues rose by 10.8% to ₹56,473 crore in FY25, compared to ₹50,960 crore in FY24. This increase was attributed to higher sales volumes, which offset the impact of lower tariff realisations.

In the fourth quarter of FY25, Adani Power’s consolidated continuing total revenue increased by 5.3% to ₹14,522 crore, up from ₹13,787 crore in Q4 FY24. However, the consolidated continuing PBT for Q4 FY25 stood at ₹3,248 crore, a decrease from ₹3,464 crore in Q4 FY24. This decline was due to higher depreciation resulting from new acquisitions, slower demand growth, and lower merchant tariffs. A significant achievement for the company was reaching 102.2 billion units (BU) of power generation in FY25, marking a 19.5% increase from 85.5 BU in FY24. Consolidated power sale volume stood at 95.9 BU in FY25, up 20.7% from 79.4 BU in FY24, driven by robust power demand and higher operating capacity.

The company’s consolidated operating capacity grew from 15,250 MW in FY24 to 17,550 MW in FY25, following the acquisition of the 1,200 MW Moxie Power Generation Ltd, 600 MW Korba Power Limited, and 500 MW Adani Dahanu Thermal Power Station. Adani Power’s CEO, S.B. Khyalia, expressed confidence in the company’s growth trajectory, stating, “As we progress quickly in the next phase of capacity expansion, we are prioritising capital and cost efficiencies to sharpen our competitive edge and extend our sectoral leadership across key parameters.”

The company remains committed to sustainability and is focused on delivering superior returns over the long term.
