Amaravati has taken a major step in industrial infrastructure planning by publishing the final master plan for the Orvakal Node under the Hyderabad Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (HBIC). The plan covers 9,719 acres and outlines a phased land use pattern that prioritises industrial development. According to the approved framework, over half the land is earmarked for industrial use, while the rest will support transport, utilities, residential, and green infrastructure—signalling a balanced and future-ready regional development blueprint.

The final master plan for the Orvakal Node under the HBIC lays the groundwork for large-scale industrial growth and structured urban development in southern Andhra Pradesh. Of the total 9,719-acre site, 52% will be allocated for industrial activities across three phases. The first phase will utilise 1,424 acres, followed by 3,594 acres in the second, and 5,017 acres in the third phase. This phased rollout aligns with demand-led development strategies to optimise land utilisation while maintaining ecological balance. The remaining land is designated for vital urban infrastructure including roads, utilities, waterbodies, commercial and residential zones, as well as green spaces and public amenities. Officials emphasise that this diversified land-use approach will facilitate sustainable economic hubs, attract manufacturing investments, and support regional employment. The Orvakal Node is expected to become a catalyst for industrial acceleration across the HBIC’s influence areas, connecting central India with the southern economic corridors of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka.

The Hyderabad Bengaluru Industrial Corridor is designed to be a multi-state economic zone, and Orvakal’s finalised blueprint reflects this strategic ambition. By balancing industrial space with community infrastructure, the plan ensures the node is not just an economic engine but also a liveable zone for the future workforce.
