Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has issued a strategic directive to Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Limited (MAHAPREIT), a key state-owned subsidiary, to aggressively prioritise and complete long-lasting projects that anticipate future urban challenges. This mandate, delivered during a high-level review at Vidhan Bhavan, underscores Maharashtra’s commitment to developing infrastructure that is not only robust but also aligns with the critical global agenda of creating zero net carbon, eco-friendly, sustainable, gender-neutral, and equitable cities. MAHAPREIT, operating under the Social Justice and Special Assistance Department’s Mahatma Phule Backward Class Development Corporation, is entrusted with a diverse portfolio spanning urban development, renewable energy, and technology. The Chief Minister, joined by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and other senior officials, meticulously reviewed the progress of several flagship projects. These include the transformative Thane Cluster Development Project, cutting-edge Software Technology and Data Centre initiatives, and crucial PM Awas Yojana undertakings within the Bhiwandi Municipal Corporation. The leadership expressed satisfaction with the advancements made, setting a positive tone for accelerated future execution.
A significant emphasis of the Chief Minister’s directive was on slum rehabilitation projects, with a clear instruction for their expedited completion.
