CREDAI-MCHI Endorses India’s First Career Conclave for Architects at WCC 2025
Mumbai, June 6, 2025 — In a first-of-its-kind initiative for India’s architectural community, the WOArchitect Career Conclave (WCC) 2025 will be held on June 14 at NESCO, Mumbai, with full institutional support from CREDAI-MCHI, the apex body representing real estate developers in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
The conclave is designed to address a longstanding gap in the professional ecosystem—career development for architects. It will bring together architects, students, employers, academic institutions, and policymakers for a full-day agenda focused on employment, education, entrepreneurship, and industry insights. The event is being launched at a time when India is witnessing rapid urbanisation but lacks structured support for design professionals. Speaking on the initiative, Keval Valambhia, COO of CREDAI-MCHI, said, “This conclave is an important step in bridging the gap between academia and the professional world. Supporting it aligns with our broader goal of creating a more future-ready built environment.”
The platform has been developed by architects Milind Surve and Snehal Jagdale Surve, co-founders of WOArchitect and Alternate Angle Academy. WOArchitect currently serves over 15,000 members through its online portal offering e-learning, job boards, and mentoring tools. WCC 2025 will feature keynote sessions, expert panels, and walk-in job interviews, with participation from firms and educational institutions. Confirmed speakers include Ar. Amol Shimpi, Ar. Hrishikesh Phadke, Ar. Rupali Gupte, and Ar. Amita Gore, who will discuss emerging domains in architecture including sustainability, legal frameworks, and design entrepreneurship.
The conclave will be inaugurated by Shri Narayan Rane, Member of Parliament and former Union Cabinet Minister. Organisers expect a strong turnout from students and young professionals across the country.
