Delhi Announces New Summer Trains for Bihar and Odisha Cities

Indian Railways has introduced a series of weekly special trains connecting Delhi with key destinations in Bihar and Odisha.

These services aim to alleviate congestion and provide passengers with more travel options. The Anand Vihar Terminal to Jogbani special train (Train No. 04094) commenced operations on April 24 and will run every Thursday until July 10. Departing at 11:55 PM, it reaches Jogbani by 7:30 AM on Saturdays. The return service (Train No. 04093) departs Jogbani at 9:30 AM on Saturdays, arriving back at Anand Vihar Terminal by 4:00 PM on Sundays. This train halts at major stations including Ghaziabad, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Varanasi, Ballia, Chhapra, Hajipur, Barauni, Khagaria, Katihar, Purnia, Araria, and Forbesganj. It comprises 20 coaches, providing ample accommodation for passengers.

Additionally, the Muzaffarpur to Anand Vihar Terminal summer special train (Train Nos. 05219/05220) operates every Saturday from May 24 to July 19. Departing Muzaffarpur at 1:30 PM, it reaches Anand Vihar Terminal at 10:00 AM on Sundays. The return journey starts from Anand Vihar Terminal at 12:00 PM on Sundays, arriving in Muzaffarpur at 9:45 AM on Mondays. This service covers significant stations such as Hajipur, Sonepur, Patliputra, Danapur, Ara, Buxar, and Prayagraj. The Bhubaneswar to New Delhi superfast special train (Train No. 04060/04059) is operational every Saturday from May 24 to June 14. Departing Bhubaneswar at 7:00 PM, it reaches New Delhi by 9:30 AM on Sundays. The return train leaves New Delhi at 9:30 AM on Saturdays, arriving in Bhubaneswar at 7:00 PM on Sundays. This train halts at stations including Govindpuri, Prayagraj, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Sasaram, Koderma, Adra, Bankura, Midnapore, Hijli, Jaleswar, Balasore, and Jajpur Road.

Passengers are advised to book their tickets in advance through the official IRCTC website or mobile app to secure their seats. Given the high demand during the summer months, early reservations are recommended. Travelers should also stay updated on any schedule changes or cancellations by regularly checking the IRCTC portal or contacting railway enquiry services. These special train services not only facilitate smoother travel but also contribute to reducing road traffic congestion, promoting the use of public transport, and supporting sustainable travel practices.
