Denmark-headquartered KK Wind Solutions, a leading supplier to the wind power industry and part of A P Moller Holding, on Wednesday inaugurated its largest Asian manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, reinforcing its long-term commitment to India’s renewable energy sector.
The new facility will employ up to 400 people and will become a critical node in the company’s global supply chain, catering to both regional and international customers. Alongside the factory, KK Wind Solutions has also opened a new shared services office in Bengaluru, with 150 employees supporting global operations. In a statement, the company described the expansion as a “key milestone in its international growth strategy” and a major vote of confidence in India as a hub for renewable energy innovation and skilled engineering talent. The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of Eske Bo Knudsen Rosenberg, Consul General of Denmark in Bengaluru, as well as global leadership from KK Wind Solutions, partners, and customers.
“India is an increasingly important hub in the global wind energy value chain,” said Mauricio Quintana, CEO of KK Wind Solutions. “Bengaluru was the obvious choice for our expansion, thanks to its world-class universities and strong engineering talent pool.” Quintana added that the new facilities would enhance the company’s ability to deliver power control and converter solutions with greater efficiency and global reach.
KK Wind Solutions has maintained a presence in Bengaluru since 2017, but this latest investment significantly scales up its footprint in India’s clean energy space, aligning with the country’s broader renewable energy ambitions.
