Adani Unveils ₹6,000 Cr Health City Project with Mayo Clinic Partnership

In a groundbreaking move set to transform India’s healthcare landscape, Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, has announced the launch of the Adani Health City (AHC) integrated health campuses. These state-of-the-art facilities will be developed through the Group’s not-for-profit healthcare arm, with an estimated investment of ₹6,000 crore. The first two campuses will be located in Ahmedabad and Mumbai, with more to follow in key cities and towns across the country.

The project aims to provide affordable, world-class medical care to people from all walks of life, furthering Gautam Adani’s social philosophy of “seva”, which emphasises service to society. Adani has committed to fully funding the creation of these health campuses, aligning with the family’s broader goal of making healthcare accessible and affordable to all. Each AHC will feature a 1,000-bed multi-super-specialty hospital, medical colleges with the capacity to intake 150 undergraduates annually, alongside 80+ residents and 40+ fellows. The campuses will also house cutting-edge research facilities, step-down care, and transitional care units. These will not only cater to the medical needs of India’s diverse population but also focus on clinical research, biomedical informatics, and artificial intelligence in healthcare.

In a notable collaboration, the Adani Group has partnered with Mayo Clinic, a world leader in medical practice, to provide strategic consulting on the clinical and organizational practices at these campuses. Mayo Clinic’s involvement will extend to advising on the integration of advanced technology, including digital healthcare solutions, aimed at enhancing the quality of care delivered. Speaking about the initiative, Gautam Adani expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Two years ago, my family committed ₹60,000 crore towards healthcare, education, and skill development as a birthday gift to me. The Adani Health City is just the beginning of this major investment, which will significantly impact healthcare accessibility in India. I am confident that Mayo Clinic’s global expertise will help elevate India’s healthcare standards, particularly in complex disease care and medical innovation.”

The Adani Health City will not only provide healthcare services but also contribute to building a robust medical education system in the country, producing a new generation of skilled doctors and researchers. This collaboration with Mayo Clinic underscores Adani’s long-term commitment to improving India’s healthcare system and advancing medical research
