Young India Skills University Campus Gets November 20 Deadline

The Telangana government has set November 20 as the deadline to complete the Young India Skills University campus at Bharat Future City, which will host the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026 from December 7 to 9. More than 2,000 international delegates, including global company chief executives, are expected to attend the summit.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy inspected the campus on October 19 and directed officials to use the university building as the venue for the investment event. Construction of nine seminar halls and 13 meeting halls is nearing completion, according to a report by Deccan Chronicle.

The decision marks a shift from the arrangements made for the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025. Temporary structures were erected at Bharat Future City for last year’s summit, while the government has opted for permanent facilities for the 2026 event. The seminar and meeting halls are expected to remain with the university after the summit and be used for academic activities.

The venue plan links the state’s investment-promotion programme with the development of Bharat Future City, where the Young India Skills University campus is being built. The government has said that retaining the facilities for university use will avoid spending on temporary infrastructure that would have limited use after the summit.

Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju separately reviewed publicity and logistical preparations for the summit. After taking stock of invitations sent to industrialists, investors and other delegates in India and abroad, he directed officials to increase publicity through hoardings at key locations and junctions in Hyderabad, as well as campaigns across Telangana.

The preparations also include public outreach activities such as a 10K Run, sporting events and other programmes intended to build awareness of the summit. Jaju asked departments to coordinate the presentation of Telangana’s investment opportunities, investor-friendly ecosystem and infrastructure strengths to national and international audiences.

The review meeting was attended by Special Chief Secretary Navin Mittal, IT joint secretary Anudeep Durishetty, industries secretary Krishna Aditya, Invest Telangana CEO B. Ajith Reddy and other senior officials. The November 20 completion deadline now precedes the summit’s scheduled opening on December 7, leaving the university campus to serve both as a public investment-event venue and as an academic facility after the programme concludes.
