A Nalgonda road accident on National Highway 65 killed two people, including a woman, and critically injured another after a lorry struck their two-wheeler near Kattangur on Monday, according to a report by Deccan Chronicle.
The crash took place on the outskirts of Aitipamula village in Kattangur mandal, near Cheruvu Annaram X Roads. Police said the lorry was travelling from Hyderabad towards Vijayawada when it rammed the two-wheeler from behind as the motorcycle was entering the highway.
Two of the people on the two-wheeler died at the scene. The third person suffered serious injuries and was shifted to a hospital for treatment after police reached the location.
The bodies were sent to the government hospital in Nakrekal for post-mortem examination. The report identified the incident as involving three people travelling on the two-wheeler, but did not provide their names, ages or further details about their condition beyond the description of the injuries.
