Residents of Bengaluru’s Pulakeshinagar Assembly constituency can raise civic and public-service complaints at the Janaspandana programme being held on Saturday, October 31, with officials from multiple government agencies expected to attend.
The programme, titled ‘Janaspandana – Citizens for Change’, is being organised through a collaboration between Prajavani and Deccan Herald. Pulakeshinagar MLA A.C. Srinivas will participate along with officials from the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA), Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB), Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM), Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), the Public Works Department (PWD) and the police department.
Residents will be able to present their problems and grievances at the event and seek resolution from the concerned departments. The participation of agencies responsible for civic administration, water and sewerage, electricity, public transport, roads and policing is intended to provide a common forum for complaints involving essential urban services.
On-site registration will begin at 9.30am. The programme will run from 10.30am to 1.30pm at BBMP Ambedkar Maidan, also known as St Charles Maidan, opposite St Charles School in St Thomas Town, near the Lingarajapuram flyover, Bengaluru–560064.
The location places the grievance meeting close to a major urban transport corridor and in an area served by several agencies whose responsibilities often overlap in matters such as roads, drainage, utilities, electricity supply, bus services and policing. Residents attending the programme can bring their complaints directly to the participating representatives.
