Residents of Bengaluru’s Pulakeshinagar Assembly constituency will be able to raise civic problems directly with elected representatives and officials from key urban agencies at a Janaspandana programme on October 31.
The programme, titled ‘Janaspandana–Citizens for Change’, is being organised by Prajavani in association with Deccan Herald. It will be held from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm at BBMP Ambedkar Maidan, also known as St Charles Maidan, opposite St Charles School in St Thomas Town, near the Lingarajapuram flyover.
Pulakeshinagar MLA A.C. Srinivas is scheduled to attend the programme along with officials from the Greater Bengaluru Authority, Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company, Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation, the Public Works Department and the police department.
Residents can present complaints and local service-related problems during the programme. The participating departments are expected to respond to issues within their respective areas of responsibility, including civic administration, water supply and sewerage, electricity, public transport, roads and public safety.
The event provides residents with a single public forum to bring together concerns that are normally handled by different departments. The participation of several agencies is significant because neighbourhood-level problems often involve overlapping responsibilities, such as roads affected by utility works, drainage complaints, transport access and electricity-related infrastructure.
Residents may also send their grievances in advance to janaspandana@printersmysore.co.in. The organisers have provided 88676 79293, 99862 28260 and 9606931811 as contact numbers for information about the programme.
The venue is BBMP Ambedkar Maidan, St Charles Maidan, opposite St Charles School, St Thomas Town, near the Lingarajapuram flyover, Bengaluru–560064. The programme is scheduled to conclude at 1.30 pm on October 31.
