Mysuru Goods Vehicle Crash Kills 22-Year-Old Pharmacist

A 22-year-old pharmacist died after a goods vehicle collided with her scooter near the R.T. Nagar junction in Mysuru on Sunday afternoon, according to a report by Prajavani – Mysuru. The deceased was identified as M.G. Ramya, a resident of Mullur village in Saragur taluk.

Ramya had completed her pharmacy studies and was working as a pharmacist at a company in Kuvempunagar, the report said. She was travelling from Aditya Circle in Dattagalli towards R.T. Nagar when the collision occurred.

Local residents took her to a hospital after she sustained serious injuries in the crash. She later died while undergoing treatment after failing to respond to medical care, according to the report.

The incident places attention on the risks faced by two-wheeler users at busy urban junctions, where interactions between scooters and commercial vehicles can result in severe injuries. The available report does not provide details about the speed of the goods vehicle, the road conditions, traffic controls or whether any violation was recorded at the site.

Ramya’s body was handed over to her family on Monday after a post-mortem examination at K.R. Hospital. The post-mortem formed part of the procedures following the fatal crash.

A case has been registered at the K.R. Traffic Police Station. Further details about the investigation, the goods vehicle and any action against its driver were not available in the report.
