The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for Sunday, 25 October, warning of congestion and disrupted vehicle movement around Ghogha during a large religious event. The restrictions and diversions are expected to remain in force from 8 am to 6 pm.
According to the advisory reported by Live Hindustan – NCR, the affected routes include the stretch from Ghogha Chowk to Parshuram Chowk Dwar in Ghogha, the Narela-Bawana Road, also known as UER-I, between DSIIDC and Bawana Canal, and Swami Swaroopanand Marg between Ramdev Chowk and Munim Ka Bagh.
Traffic may be diverted as required at Ghogha Chowk, JJ Colony, Bawana, the entry gate at Ghogha near Parshuram Dwar, Ghogha Firni Road and Harewali Toll. The police have advised motorists to avoid unnecessary travel through these locations during the event period and to plan journeys in advance.
The advisory asks commuters to use alternative routes wherever possible, leave home with additional travel time and follow traffic signs, diversion boards and instructions issued by personnel deployed on the roads. Drivers have also been asked not to park along roads near the event venue or at unauthorised locations, where parked vehicles could further restrict traffic movement.
The police have specifically urged travellers to avoid unnecessary movement towards roads connected with the Ghogha area, Aastha Kunj Park, Nehru Place and adjoining areas during the affected hours. The advisory also requests commuters to cooperate with traffic personnel managing diversions and road access.
Real-time updates are expected to be available through the Delhi Traffic Police website and its official social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram and X. Commuters using north-west Delhi routes on Sunday will need to check these updates before starting their journeys and remain alert to changes in diversion arrangements.
