Adani Airports Unveils Aviio to Transform Airport Operations

MUMBAI: Adani Airports Holdings Ltd (AAHL) has launched a groundbreaking B2B digital platform, named “aviio,” aimed at revolutionising airport operations across its seven Indian airports. This pioneering initiative, unveiled on Tuesday, promises to streamline passenger journeys and enhance operational efficiency through real-time total airport management.

Aviio represents a significant leap in digital transformation for the airport ecosystem, according to a press statement by AAHL. The platform, described as a comprehensive and innovative solution, is designed to unify airport stakeholders, including airlines, ground handlers, and retail operators, by offering a seamless digital interface for improved collaboration and service delivery. “Aviio is a first-of-its-kind initiative in India, setting a new benchmark for airport operations worldwide,” said an AAHL spokesperson. The platform is conceptualised as the backbone of AAHL’s digital transformation strategy, with the potential to serve as a model for global airport operations. It features an advanced Smart Airport Operations System, intended as a replicable ‘Airport-in-a-Box’ solution.

The Aviio platform includes an Airport Planning and Operation Centre (APOC) equipped with ten times more features than existing systems, enhancing data-driven decision-making capabilities. The platform integrates various functionalities to support all stakeholders involved in airport management, including AAHL employees, airlines, and security personnel. The aviio app (AOCC-on-the-go) will be installed on smartphones provided to CISF personnel to facilitate real-time collaboration and operational efficiency. “This multipurpose app is designed to revolutionise how stakeholders interact and make informed decisions,” noted an AAHL official.

“The primary benefit of aviio will be its impact on passenger experiences, transforming how they navigate through our airports.” The platform aims to enhance capacity planning, operational efficiencies, and real-time resource management, significantly impacting AAHL’s operational performance and long-term growth. By providing stakeholders with real-time data, aviio will improve passenger access to crucial information, such as updates on security checks, wait times, gate changes, and baggage handling. This enhanced visibility is expected to lead to smoother and more efficient passenger transit.

AAHL’s investment in AI, IoT, Computer Vision, Robotics, and Digital Twins underpins its strategy to create a next-generation airport ecosystem. This digitalisation drive is poised to offer a competitive edge, boost performance, and deliver substantial value to customers and stakeholders. The integration of these technologies into the aviio platform underscores AAHL’s commitment to fostering a future-ready airport environment and ensuring a seamless passenger experience.
