Telangana Heat to Persist for Two Weeks as Showers Stay Localised

Telangana is likely to experience March-like heat for the next one to two weeks, while isolated to scattered showers may affect parts of the state, according to a report by Deccan Chronicle. Hyderabad is expected to remain mainly dry during this period, with mornings likely to be slightly cooler.

The forecast indicates that Nalgonda, Nagarkurnool, Khammam, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Vikarabad, Rangareddy and Mahabubnagar could receive isolated to scattered rainfall during the afternoon and night. The showers are expected to remain uneven, with only a few locations likely to record rain.

Further isolated to scattered showers may occur in southern Telangana between October 3 and 12, particularly in areas closer to Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, the report said. The rainfall is expected to be highly localised rather than widespread across the region.

For Hyderabad, the immediate outlook is predominantly dry weather. The combination of continuing heat and limited rainfall could mean that conditions vary sharply between neighbourhoods and districts, with some areas receiving short-duration showers while others remain dry.

The forecast has implications for daily travel, outdoor work and local water management, particularly in districts where afternoon heat persists alongside the possibility of sudden rain. Localised showers can also produce differing conditions across nearby areas, depending on where the rain develops.

The expected weather pattern is set to continue through the next one to two weeks, with southern districts remaining the main areas identified for possible rainfall between October 3 and 12. Hyderabad’s outlook, according to the report, remains mainly dry during this period.
