Patna: In response to the increasing passenger traffic between Muzaffarpur and Anand Vihar, the Indian Railways has announced the operation of a clone special train (05283/05284) starting this Saturday. This initiative aims to alleviate congestion and cater to the surge in demand on this route.
The newly introduced clone train will commence its journey from Muzaffarpur daily at 06:30 am, with an anticipated arrival at Anand Vihar the following day at 05:00 am. The route will traverse through Gorakhpur, Lucknow, and Moradabad. Conversely, the return service will depart from Anand Vihar at 07:00 am and is expected to reach Muzaffarpur the next morning at 04:50 am. The train will feature 17 coaches to accommodate the increased number of passengers.
The Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway (ECR), confirmed the details of the clone train service. This move is part of the Railways’ strategy to manage the heightened passenger load efficiently during peak travel periods. Additionally, the Railways have announced a diversion in the route of the Barauni-Gondia Express (15231/15232). From August 27 to September 4, this service will be rerouted via Barauni, Katni, Jabalpur, Nainpur, and Balaghat due to necessary infrastructure work in the Jabalpur division of the West Central Railway (WCR).
Further extending its commitment to passenger convenience, the Railways have decided to prolong the services of 26 special passenger trains through to the end of December. This extension aims to address ongoing demand and ensure better connectivity for travellers. The introduction of the clone train and the extension of special services highlight the Railways’ ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency and passenger satisfaction amidst growing travel demands.
