L&T Wins Rs 5,000 Crore NAINA Project

Larsen & Toubro (L&T), a leading engineering and construction conglomerate, has clinched a substantial contract for the development of integrated infrastructure within the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) in Maharashtra. The order, bestowed by the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), encompasses a wide array of tasks including road construction, structural development, utility works, and electrical installations.

In a formal announcement, L&T revealed that the order, classified as ‘large’ by the company, falls within the range of ₹2,500 crore to ₹5,000 crore. This latest project will be managed by L&T’s Transportation Infrastructure division. The scope of the work involves comprehensive infrastructure development across town planning schemes 2 to 7 under the NAINA initiative. The awarded project will see L&T undertake the construction of major and minor structures, as well as essential utility and electrical works. The extensive development plan is part of a broader effort to enhance the infrastructural framework in Navi Mumbai, aimed at supporting the city’s growth and improving connectivity in the region.

L&T’s new order underscores its robust capabilities in executing large-scale infrastructure projects. With a global footprint and a diverse portfolio, the company continues to play a pivotal role in shaping urban landscapes through engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects. This project adds to L&T’s impressive portfolio and reinforces its position as a key player in the infrastructure development sector. The NAINA project, which focuses on integrating various aspects of urban infrastructure, aligns with CIDCO’s vision of transforming Navi Mumbai into a modern, well-connected metropolis. The successful execution of this project will significantly contribute to the region’s developmental goals and enhance the overall quality of urban infrastructure.
