Police in Maharashtra’s Thane district have registered an FIR against former BJP MLA Narendra Pawar and dismissed police constable Shailesh Patil after a 22-year-old woman alleged that she was held at gunpoint and sexually assaulted at a farmhouse in Bhiwandi. The woman alleged that she was taken to a farmhouse in Bapgaon on September 13 after Pawar offered to mediate in problems related to her marriage. According to the complaint, Pawar and Patil allegedly took her to the property, threatened her with a weapon and forced her to consume alcohol.
The woman further alleged that she was sexually assaulted after being taken to the farmhouse. She said Pawar left the location before Patil allegedly sexually assaulted her as well. The report said that a companion of the accused later dropped her at her home.
