PIMPRI-CHINCHWAD | September 11, 2026 — Pimpri-Chinchwad Mayor Ravi Landge has formally requested that an Alandi station be added to the proposed 45.29-kilometre Nigdi-Chakan Metro route, citing the town’s religious and historical importance and the growing number of pilgrims visiting the area.
Landge made the request to Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation Murlidhar Mohol. The proposed corridor currently covers Bhakti-Shakti, Mukai Chowk, Wakad, Nashik Phata, Moshi and Chakan, with 34 planned stations. The mayor has asked that Alandi be included in the route plan.
